Long-term Benefits
Long-term Benefits are benefits paid for an extended period and, once payable, in most cases are generally paid for the rest of the pensioner’s life.
Short-term Benefits
Short-term Benefits are benefits payable due to temporary interruption of employment for a short period (not exceeding 26 weeks or 6 months).
Employment Injury Related Benefits
Employment Injury and its related benefits are payable as a direct consequence of an occupational hazard whereby an Insured Person is rendered incapable of work.
Employers
The Social Security Regulation defines an Employer as: "A person, (natural or legal) who engages another person in Insurable Employment.”
